Bass Weekend Series (Whitefish Chain)
Hi,
My son A.J. is my link to this tournament, unfortunately he could not be at the previous tournament because he was not quite 16 yrs old yet but know he is and were going to have a good time on the series.We got up to the Whitefish Chain on Fri. at sunrise and started fishing some nice looking pads right at the launch we put in at and A.J. catches a nice three pounder on his rd cast with a Voodoo Zombie Toad, we continue on and catch a few more small fish in the large pad field then decide to go and try some main lake points, I think we caught fish on every point we fished but not really the quality to place high in the standings I don't know if catching 2-3 fish then moving was the right thing to do this time because I can't seem to find much quality in all the spots I hit today. We head in to my buddy's (Brian Tann) cabin which is on the chain and where we are staying, Brian also fishes the Weekend series as a pro.
I decided to sleep in on Sat. and try some of the smaller lakes on the chain normally I don't spend to much time on the small lakes here but I thought I needed to try something different and boy was it We really had work hard to get very few bites and there was no size to them either so with the frustration we met Brian at the Wharf for some lunch and a few beers then proceeded to Brian's to get all of our equipment situated for the big day tomorrow.
